The AMS PTA needs you!
Our PTA Board elections are just around the corner and we need to fill positions for the VP Membership Chair and Secretary. The Board meets once per month and holds 8 PTA meetings during the school year. Being a member of the PTA board is a great way to stay involved in the activities at Albany Middle School.
Elections for the AMS PTA Board will be held at our meeting on Thursday, April 5th at 7:00pm. The AMS PTA Board includes the following roles (links to job descriptions are next to each role where available):
Executive Vice-President – http://toolkit.capta.org/
Vice-President Communications – This role is specific to the AMS PTA and involves maintenance and updating of the AMS PTA website as well as other communications activities
Vice-President Membership – http://toolkit.capta.org/
We are actively seeking nominations for these roles and currently have the following individuals standing for re-election:
Dorothe Piluso – President
Kim McNeal – Vice President
Bahrt Arellano – Vice President Communications
Kat Bliss – Treasurer
If you have any interest in running for one of these of the positions, please contact Nominating Committee members Kim McNeal (kimmcneal@comcast.net),,Abby Medcalf (abbymedcalf@mac.com) or Bahrt Arellano (bahrt.arellano@gmail.com) for more information or to be included on the slate of candidates. You may also simply announce your candidacy at the election meeting. Even if you are not interested in running for office, please come out and vote!
